Like a few others have stated, you pay for what you get. Now or later. Because if you buy cheap you will go through more makeup and end up spending the same anyway. You better off just spending it upfront and looking good all day.

Hey, i love make up as much as any body but i think theres too many brands out there nw adays that cost a fortune that arent even that good i think mac make up is a rip off for example my favourite brands have got to be urban decay you can pull of any look with this stuff its great another favourite is too faced its great and its packaging is amazin to xx
it all depends on your skin type. different brands suit different people so there is no definite answer to this. try them out on your own.


but the general rule of thumb is that good quality usually comes with bigger price tags. there might be cheaper range cosmetics around that give good results but they can never match the higher end ones.


also, different brands champion in different brands. i'll say Dior for mascara and lip gloss, MAC for eye shadow, Shu uemura for skin care but then again, different strokes for different folks. so good luck for your cosmetics testing!
totally depends. but as previously stated before me...with make up you pay for quality. What you pay is what you get for sure. As far as foundation goes one of the best I have found is bare minerals. you can get it at ulta or online. Im sure there are other places, sometimes they have their own stores. Laura mercier has an excellent mineral line as well. Theyre usually in Nordstrom. If color and pigment is what you are looking for, MAC has its reputation for a reason. they dont advertise so its all word of mouth. Biggest make up company out there. Lancome has the best mascara. Its called hypnose. If you have sensitve skin, just stay away from thick powders and liquid foundations. MAC also has a product that seals your make up for longer wear. good luck. its all trial. finding what works for you.

Max Factor does the best bases/foundations. For colour you can't go past Revlon. But for mascara and eyeliner you can definitely get good quality without spending heaps. Maybelline and Cover Girl do good ones in varying formulas and different brush types. Do you have Priceline where you are? They stock some good brands of make-up.

* be VERY careful about buying expensive lipstick. alot of them have lead in them. here's how to tell:





swipe some lipstick on the top of ur hand. take a real gold ring and rub it on the lipstick that's on ur hand. if it starts to turn black, it has lead in it.
well their are really good make-up brands %26amp;%26amp; really bad depending on what type of skin you have, but maybeline ny is a really good make-up brand that mostly all my friends use, clinique works, but there's other brands, MAC is a really good brand their make-up line is really good. so MAC or , maybeline ny would be my suggestion. make sure u check out sephora: www.sephora.com ( i dont think they carry MAC, or maybeline ny but most of their make-up is better or similar.)

Each of the above brands have very good selection and some excel in areas like foundation/concealer/pigment/lip. I don't think any of the above test on animals.
i spent so much money on MAC make up and clinic make up and all the other brands out there....but none of them worked better than maybelline!! and i have really oily face also and the make up works great with my oily face. lol.
