You should just buy one of those books....this way u will get accurate information........Looking for good, basic makeup?
I love mark. Affordable products that compare to department store cosmetics. All of their makeup starts at just $4 and the most expensive item is only $18.

It makes it easy to experiment and have fun, because they are so affordable.

Try mark.'s MAKE IT BIG mascara. It is a must have. ($6)

The perfect foundation is their Face Xpert - Flawless Touch Makeup. It is a lightweight, professional-coverage formula. ($8)

Then they have customizable palettes that allow you to pick your eye and blush colors. You can get a Mega case for $8 and then fill it with up to 8 eyeshadows or 4 eyeshadows and 2 blushes, etc. The eyeshadows are only $4 and the blushes are $6. The best part is they are all magnetic, so you can reuse the case.

Check out the whole line on the site below.

Mayballine mousse stuff is great for foundation. It's a little pricier than the liquid stuff but not that much and totally worth it. Urban Decay is very good for eye shadows and eyeliners, really pretty colours, but definitely not cheap! However, Natural collection is cheap and does the job if you're looking for basic.

With mascara, I tend to first apply it to the tops of my eyelashes and then under the eyelashes to make them more volumous :) Don't put too much on the bottom lashes or it'll get a bit too much.

Hope that helps a bit, good luck!
